At Berkshire Sign Co., we believe great design tells a story, and our journey from digital design to custom sign-making is one we’re proud to share.

We’re Chris and Theodora Gannon, a husband-and-wife team running a family-owned business from our small homestead in the serene woods of Monterey, in the Southern Berkshires. After living in NYC, Syracuse, Florida, and the Philippines, we found our forever home in these peaceful mountains, where we live with our two daughters, rescue dog, and 20 chickens.

For over a decade, we ran our digital design agency, Banwa, creating brands and websites for clients from small businesses to global names like KitchenAid® and Stickley®. Alongside our digital work, we always pursued our passion for creating physical objects—Chris built handcrafted guitars and furniture, while Theodora sewed custom goods. Though the digital world was fulfilling, we longed to create something tangible that could be seen, touched, and experienced.

Inspired by the beauty and creativity of the Berkshires, we decided to bring our love for craftsmanship into the physical world, and in 2024, Berkshire Sign Co. was born.
